LOUISIANA -- Cajun Navy 2016, one of the most decorated and transparent independent search and rescue organizations using the popular "Cajun Navy" moniker has decided to change its name to Pinnacle Search and Rescue in order to set themselves apart from the numerous organization using a portion of the name.

The announcement was made via a Facebook post to its members on October 20, 2019, but the official public Press Release was posted on Saturday, October 26th which stated;

"The concept of being put into a place of helplessness, waiting on God for direction, may be difficult to work within an organizational framework. Yet, the only path to the fullness of fruitfulness and strength is by way of the pinnacle."

The rebranding has begun! Same logo, same dedicated volunteers. Look us up on FB Pinnacle Search and Rescue and IG at @Pinnacle_SAR

The Cajun Navy name has come under intense scrutiny after the recent arrest on the American's Cajun Navy founder and president, John Billiot, Jr. was arrested on felony theft charges related to that organization's handling of donated monies.

Cajun Navy 2016 is not affiliated with America's Cajun Navy.*
