UPDATE: Energy Center Post Office To Reopen Friday (Jan. 3, 2020)

Update -- Energy Center Post Office to Resume Operations on Friday, January 3

On Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, full operations are expected to resume at the Energy Center Post Office in Lafayette.  The U.S. Postal Service previously suspended operations temporarily at the Energy Center Post Office, due to a plane crash near the facility.  Customers are able to access the parking lot, retail area, P.O. Box section, and any public space at the Post Office.  We appreciate the patience of our customers during this time

(Lafayette, LA) The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily suspended operations at the Energy Center Post Office*, located at 455 Feu Follet Rd., Lafayette, LA 70508 following Saturday's deadly plane crash that occurred on their facility.   


In a statement released by USPS officials, "There is no disruption to post office delivery..., and currently, there is no timeline for resumption of operations at the Energy Center Post Office." 

Energy Center customers and P.O. Box customers may pick up their mail and conduct retail transactions at the Bertrand Post Office, 1830 Bertrand Dr., Lafayette, LA 70506. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s website www.usps.com to get the location of additional nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
