The Lafayette Police Department is investigating two shootings that took place last night in the Hub City.

One shooting occurred in the 100 block of Macon St., where a bystander suffered a non-life-threatening injury when two unknown suspects exchanged gunfire.

The second shooting took place at a convenience store on Eraste Landry Rd. A vehicle was shot, but no one was injured in the incident.

A worker at the convenience store told Parish News that none of the employees recognized the shooter as one of their regular customers.

According to a post by the Lafayette Police, the suspects have not been identified and the circumstances of both shootings are currently under investigation.
