Mayor Henry Guinn has chosen Danny Semmes as the new Police Chief for the City of Jennings.

Semmes is a 28 year law enforcement veteran and has served as Jennings’ deputy chief for seven years. He was named interim chief after long-time chief Todd D'Albour left the department. D'Albour is now the new Police Chief in New Iberia.

Though Mayor Guinn has chosen Semmes for the job, the appointment still has to go before the city council for final ratification.
