Jamie Earl Gray Booked for Fatal Accident on Ambassador Caffery Pkwy

Lafayette, LA- On Tuesday, September 23rd at approximately 5:30 pm, officers responded to a major two car vehicle crash in the 5700 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway near the intersection of La Neuville Road.
The driver of one vehicle, 39-year-old Tanoka R. Janezich, was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger inside her vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor/moderate injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle a 48-year-old Jamie Earl Gray of Lafayette was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries. Two passengers inside his vehicle were also transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.
Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash, and upon his release from the hospital today, Jamie Earl Gray, the driver of the second vehicle was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for OWI, Vehicular Homicide and issued several traffic citations.
