Medical Marijuana Clinic Opens In Lafayette

In early October, Total Health Clinic opened its door in Lafayette becoming the first of its kind medical marijuana clinic in Acadiana.

The clinic is headed by Dr. Chad Rossitter, who is Louisiana's only Master Certified Medical Marijuana Physician. Dr. Rossitter practices treating patients with chronic illnesses such as Crohn’s Disease, Epilepsy/seizures, and cancer as well as treating less obvious problems such as post-traumatic stress syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, and Autism with medical marijuana.

According to a company spokesperson, Dr. Rossitter is also opening a medical marijuana dispensary next door to the clinic, where patients can more easily place and pick up their prescriptions.

"It's great that we can offer patients hope when they have exhausted every first, second, and third line of treatment," says Dr. Rossitter.
