Attorney General Jeff Sessions Resigns

In a letter to the President earlier today, U.S. Attorney General Jeff sessions resigned as the country’s chief law enforcement officer upon the request from the President.

President Trump announced that he was naming Sessions’ chief of staff Matthew Whitaker, a former United States attorney from Iowa, as acting attorney general.
