Shawn Cummins Arrested After Pointing A Gun At School Bus In Road Rage Incident

Arrest Made in Road Rage Incident
Lafayette City Police have arrested 58-year-old Shawn Timothy Cummins for pointing a firearm from his vehicle in the direction of a school bus with at least seven students inside.
On November 8, 2018 at approximately 4:44 pm Lafayette Police received a call in reference to a male pointing a gun at students seated on a school bus traveling on W. Congress Street in Lafayette. After further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect was Shawn T. Cummins. He was subsequently was arrested for 7-counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and transported to LPCC for booking.
The investigation into the incident remains on-going.
