Fort Polk Man Arrested for Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles

Alexandria – On Friday, December 14, 2018, investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit/Alexandria Field Office, with the assistance of Fort Polk Criminal Investigations Division, arrested Joey Womack (W/M 31 yoa) of Fort Polk, LA. Womack was arrested for distribution of pornography involving juveniles (five counts).

Earlier this month, LSP’s Special Victims Unit began an investigation pertaining to illicit images of child sexual abuse, involving toddlers. During the investigation, a person of interest was identified.

As a result of the joint investigation and information obtained, a search warrant was issued for a residence located at Fort Polk. Following the search warrant, Womack was arrested and booked into the Vernon Parish Jail and will be transferred to the Rapides Parish Jail. No bond has been set.
