Earlier this week, the City of Youngsville was named as the best city to live in Louisiana by 24/7 Wall St. as part of their Best City to Live in Every State column.

The column touts Youngsville as growing its population by more than 41% over the past five years, stating;

“Youngsville is a relatively prosperous city… The typical Youngsville household earns about $95,000 a year and just 5.5% of the population live in poverty. Meanwhile, the typical Louisiana household earns less than $46,000 a year and nearly one in five state residents live in poverty. A dollar also goes farther than typical in Youngsville, as goods and services are about 7% less expensive than they are on average nationwide.

Youngsville residents have benefitted from a 70 acre, multimillion-dollar sports complex since its completion in 2014 and a recreation center that opened in 2016. The facility boasts 10 tennis courts, six soccer fields, five baseball fields, batting cages, a fishing pond, a one-mile walking path, and a playground.”

24/7 Wall St. is a financial news and opinion company with content delivered over the Internet. The company’s articles are republished by many of the largest news sites and portals, including MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance, MarketWatch, Time.com, USAToday, and The Huffington Post.

Congratulations to Youngsville and their residents.
