Suspect Arrested for Multiple Storage Unit Burglaries

Lafayette, LA - Lafayette Police Criminal Investigations Division arrested a suspect responsible for burglarizing multiple storage units in the 200 block of Feu Follet Rd. as well as multiple bicycle thefts around Lafayette. 27-year-old George Louis Bourque (W/M) was arrested for 10-counts of Simple Burglary, 3-counts of Attempted Simple Burglary, 2-counts of Possession of Stolen Property and Theft. The Burglaries of several storage units were reported beginning in December 2018. Estimated values of over $350,000 worth items have been reported stolen since December. Detectives have located and recovered stolen property from those burglaries. Additional charges are pending against Bourque. The investigation for the multiple burglaries and thefts remain on-going.
