Broussard Elementary Student Left On School Bus At Truck Stop

The Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) has confirmed that a school bus driver has been placed on administrative leave after leaving a sleeping 7-year-old Broussard Elementary School student on their bus when parking it at a Truck Stop in St. Martin Parish approximately 30 minutes after completing their bus route.
The child who is in good condition was picked up by the Broussard Police Department and was brought to school.
LPSS says that police are in the process of pulling surveillance video from the truck stop. The bus driver has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
