LFT Tactical Narcotics Team Busts Jefferson Street Narcotics Operation - Five Arrested

Following up on citizens complaints, the Lafayette Police Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) executed a narcotics operation focused on identifying suspects responsible for the sale and/or distribution of illegal narcotics within the city limits.
Focusing on a local Jefferson Street business known as the “Spirit Gas Station,” agents conducted a narcotics investigation. Several undercover buys were conducted resulting in five arrest warrants for individuals responsible for distributing illegal narcotics on the store's property. One search warrant was conducted at a residence in the 200 block of Fifth Street where an additional arrest was made. Occupants of the residence were believed to be connected to the illegal sale of narcotics at the store's property.
As a result of the operation, five arrests have been made and additional arrest may follow.*
The five arrested include:
Trane Boudreaux: Distribution of Sch. II (crack cocaine)(1-count)
Joseph Handy Jr.: Distribution of Sch. II (crack cocaine)
Nicholas J.
Hands: Distribution of Sch. II (crack cocaine)(2-counts), Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Sch. I
(marijuana)
Calvin Noel III: Possession of Sch. I, Possession of Drug Paraphilia
Marcel Kelly: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphilia, Resisting Arrest
*All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
