Three Arrested After Narcotics Investigation At Scott Hotel

Scott, LA -- Police were called to a local hotel Thursday morning after receiving calls about strong odors of illegal substances in the hallway and the use of a stolen credit card by a guest. 

After a brief investigation, Scott Police made three arrests after locating methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. 

All 3 subjects were placed under arrest and transported to Lafayette Parish Correctional Center*.

They are identified as: 

- Angelina LeBlanc, 26, of Rayne was booked for Principal to Theft and later released on a misdemeanor summons.

- Jason LeBlanc, 43, of Duson was booked for Possession of Schedule II, Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution, Prohibited Acts, and an unrelated warrant. He is still currently incarcerated with $17,500 bond amount on those charges and no bond on the warrant.

- Matthew Taft, 37, of Lafayette was found to have approximately 58 warrants, 2 counts of Felony Theft, and several additional charges from multiple agencies.

* All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
