Update: Second Suspect Sought for Off-Duty Officer Shooting Turns Himself In

UPDATE: Second Suspect Turns Himself In to Police

Lafayette- On June 26, 2019 at approximately 2:00 am wanted fugitive Ronald J. Guidry turned himself in at the Lafayette Police Department. He was transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for booking on the active warrants for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

6/24/2019 - Original Story

Lafayette- An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect believed to be responsible for shooting at a vehicle driven by an off-duty Duson police officer on 6/18/19 in the 200 block of Alsandor Drive.  

A warrant for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder has been issued for 23-year-old Ronald J. Guidry (B/M) of Lafayette.   

If you know the whereabouts of Ronald J. Guidry call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS. 

Guidry is considered armed and dangerous. We want to also remind the public that anyone found to be aiding, preventing apprehension or harboring this fugitive will be placed under arrest for the appropriate offense upon his capture.
