Man Arrested As He Tries To Enter LFT Parish Court House With Loaded Gun

Lafayette -- A man is under arrest after an attempt was made to bring a weapon into the Lafayette Parish Court House earlier today (9/3/2019).
Alan Huval, 51, was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center after attempting to enter the court house with a loaded hand gun and additional ammunition in a backpack.
Huval is charged with Illegal Carrying of Weapons (RS 14:95). A $10,000 bond has been set and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 6, 2019.
