Update: Vehicle of Interest Sought in Fatal Hit & Run Accident on Acadian Hills Lane

Update (Vehicle of Interest) The Lafayette Police Department Traffic Division is in need of the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the vehicle pictured. The vehicle was traveling on Acadian Hills Ln. southbound at approximately 8:45 pm on October 1st around the time of the hit & run accident that took the life of 19-year-old Kirk Broussard.

If anyone can identify the vehicle or the driver of the vehicle please contact the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

Lafayette- Monday evening (Oct 1st), at approximately 8:50 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a hit & run accident in the 100 block of Acadian Hills Ln.  Upon their arrival, officers located a bicyclist in the roadway who has been identified as 19-year-old Kirk Broussard of Lafayette. Broussard was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the vehicle involved in the accident is unknown. Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS. 

The accident is being investigated by the Lafayette Police Traffic Division and remains on-going.
