As the Chief Administrative Officer of Youngsville, Champagne will serve in this volunteer capacity with the blessing and support of Mayor Ken Ritter.

Her expertise and conservative fiscal approach will help us eliminate government waste and provide a great jumpstart to my Administration. I am grateful for her leadership and willingness to serve,” Guillory stated.

“I thank Mayor-President-Elect Guillory for the opportunity to work with the transition team in this role. I am anxious to help the Mayor-President-Elect move our parish forward. The successful launch of Mr. Guillory’s Administration is a win for our entire parish,” said Champagne.

Guillory continued, “‘One Parish’ is more than just a slogan – it’s my promise that as Mayor-President, I will work tirelessly with our stakeholders from across Lafayette Parish. Working with Simone during the transition is just start of putting that commitment into action.”

With years of experience at both the state and local level, Champagne will work with the Chairman of the overall transition, Jim Doré. Her knowledge in navigating government will be valuable asset to the transition, particularly as the chair of the Contract Review Committee.
