(Updated) Second Suspect Arrested in Moss Street Shooting

On Tuesday, Dec. 4th, officers located a second suspect wanted in connection for the shooting that occurred in the 2300 block of Moss St. on November 30th.

17-year-old male was arrested and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. The investigation remains on-going.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Lafayette Police, PIO, Corporal Bridgette P. Dugas has confirmed that 18-year-old Malik Soloman of Lafayette, turned himself in to authorities at the Lafayette Police Department on Monday, December 2, 2019, where he was arrested on an active warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder stemming from a November 30th shooting on Moss Street. 

On the evening of November 30, 2019, Lafayette Police responded to the 2300 block of Moss St. in reference to a shots fired call. Upon their arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. Currently, the victim remains in a local hospital where he is now listed in stable condition. 

An investigation on this matter remains on-going.
