Former Lafayette School Superintendent Arrested For Obscenity

Former LPSS Superintendent Burnell F. Lemoine (74) was arrested on New Year's eve by the Lafayette Police Department for "intentionally exposing his penis to an undercover agent" and charged with obscenity.

The arrest occurred near Lemoine's home on St. John Street in Lafayette. He has since bonded out of jail on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 3rd, 2020.

Lemoine was the Superintendent of LPSS from 2007 to 2011. He was also the Superintendent of schools in Avoyelles Parish prior to taking the top spot in Lafayette.
