Verot School Road Shooting Leads To 3 Arrests
Aug 10, 2020 11:10AM ● By News DeskLafayette, La. - On August 8, 2020, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Verot School Road. Upon officers’ arrival, they learned that a vehicle containing four occupants was traveling southbound in the 2800 Blk of Verot School Road at which time the vehicle was struck by gunfire.
One of the victims was able to provide investigators with a description of the suspect’s vehicle and a description of the suspects.

With the assistance of St. Landry Sheriff’s Office, detectives were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle and three suspects.
The suspects were transported back to the Lafayette Police Department where there were interviewed by investigators. At the conclusion of the interviews, three individuals, all of Opelousas, were charged with 4 counts of attempted 1st degree murder:

> Mr. Kevon Henry (B/M), 19
> Mr. Macarthur Johnson (B/M), 36
They were transported to Lafayette Parish Correctional Center where they were booked.
According to the Lafayette Police Department, the four victims were not struck by gunfire.
