Zach Hager Promoted to Vice President of Economic Development at One Acadiana

LAFAYETTE, La. – One Acadiana (1A) today announced the promotion of Zach Hager, CEcD, to the position of Vice President of Economic Development. In this role, Hager will continue to oversee business attraction, retention, and expansion programs for the nine-parish region of Acadiana and will expand his leadership role in initiatives designed to make Acadiana one of the most sought-after places for businesses and talent.
Hager joined One Acadiana in 2015 as Manager of Site Development and most recently served as Director of Business Development. During his tenure, Hager has been a key player on a team that facilitated the recruitment, retention, and expansion of more than 1,100 jobs through 19 projects. Those projects will generate nearly $63.4 million in new annual wages and approximately $731 million in new capital investment across the Acadiana Region.

Prior to joining One Acadiana, Hager served as a project coordinator at Acadiana Economic Development Council, where he performed demographic, economic, and site and location research across a seven-parish region. His previous role also included experience as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyst for a regional site suitability study, where he factored in multiple site development variables to identify locations most suitable for industrial growth.
Hager is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council, a standard of excellence in the profession. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute, a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and serves on the Lafayette International Center Foundation board.
Hager holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science from Louisiana State University.
