Lafayette Man Arrested in South College Murder

Lafayette, La.- On February 9, 2021, the Western District of Louisiana United States Marshals Service Violent Offender Task Force and the Lafayette Police Department arrested the suspect accused of murdering 32-year-old Leo Jack who was found dead on February 4th inside a local apartment in the 700 block of S. College Road.

29-year-old Cody Guccione (W/M) of Lafayette, was located by officers at a local motel at approximately 9:40 am. He was transported to the Lafayette Police Department for questioning and subsequently placed under arrest. He was transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and booked for Second Degree Murder.

Lafayette La - Lafayette City Police responded to suspicious circumstance Thursday (02/04/2021) afternoon to a local apartment in the 700 block of S. College Road. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with family members who advised officers they had located the deceased victim inside the apartment.

The cause of death is unknown at this time, but the incident is being investigated as a homicide. 

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Leo Leroy Jack (B/M) of Lafayette.
