Lafayette High School Principal Resigns in Frustration

(Lafayette, LA.) On Friday, Lafayette High School (LHS) principal, Dr. Rachel Brown announced to LHS administration and staff that she had submitted her resignation as principal. In her statement, she noted that she will remain in her current position until the Thanksgiving break in late November. At this time, complete details of her departure are unclear. However, unconfirmed sources within the school tell Parish News that Dr. Brown had become frustrated and disgruntled with the direction and policies of the Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) and Board.
